Course Overview

The purpose of Life Coaching is to develop good habits in order to make personal growth intentional. Good habits, such as goal setting, time management, and exercise are essential for long term health and social well-being of children and teens.Our Life Coaching curriculum focuses on social, emotional, and physical well-being. We integrate lessons associated with leadership and habit building to better prepare your child for the future.

This course is focused on more advanced self-development techniques including: emotional and physical health, social responsibility, and understanding psychology. Mentors guide students to develop strong core values that will help them navigate social situations. Basic life-skills, such as effective study strategies, career development, money management and community outreach are discussed.

Course Objectives

  • General Course Structure:
    • 30% Exercise and wellness (exercise in the gym)
    • 30% Academically focused (reading, leadership speech, writing)
    • 40% Leadership focused (teambuilding, concepts, activities)
  • Course Outcomes:
    • 3Leadership speeches and soft skill development
    • 7-8 focused leadership vocabulary per week
    • 5 leadership challenge completions
    • Foundational components of brain function
    • Focus on understanding self and the senses (sight, sound, smell, taste, touch)
  • Physical Education:
    • Initial, Mid-Term, and Final Fitness Test
    • 30 minutes of exercise each week (sit ups, squats, running, etc.)
    • Rowing challenges
    • Mindfulness Concepts: Meditation, Yoga, and Nutrition
